Based on our last three interviews with software engineers and some personal discussions with some more engineers we believe this is a great mini guide on how to land a software engineering job in some international companies. Yes, we will also drop a list of companies this guide will work for at the end.
Let’s get right into it!
Firstly, Learn the basics of algorithm and Data Structures
I believe this is not new to anyone but it’s always a great way to start.

* Another advice: Python is a good language to use for practice and interviews.
Practice, Practice and Practice!!
This is the most important part, spend time practicing. Answering one question a day is a good way to start.
Some good sites for practicing are:
Follow up on your application
Obviously you need to send out applications first so we don’t need to talk much about that. But you can make your application stand out by finding a recruiter and sending an inmail or personal message on Linkedin letting he/she know you sent an application.

Get a squad
Find a squad with similar aspirations as you! This is a constant from all three interviews we’ve had. Like the saying goes “Teamwork makes the dream work

A skill to master - Time management
Time management is the process of planning and controlling how much time to spend on specific activities. Most interviews are done within a short time period so practicing to solve problems within a timeframe is important. Timer25 is a good timer you can use.
Finally this is not a skill/guide but we will have to add it.
Get ready for rejection
Yes, those “Thank you for applying” mails. We all dread it but it is bound to happen. It’s important to learn to keep moving even after so many L’s.
